SAFETY
The Stinger does pretty well in the safety department. However, the majority of the safety features and driver assistance tech are offered as optional upgrades. They include; available automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, available lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.
Other safety technologies include a safe-exit warning system that notifies passengers of oncoming traffic before alighting, a blind-spot monitor system that live streams whatever is in the driver's blind spot, and parking sensors that notify the driver about the obstacles that may not be visible behind the vehicle when parking.
EXTERIOR
The Stinger rides on 18-inch wheel designs upgradeable to 19-inch wheels while adding the new daytime running light signature and full-width rear taillight treatment as part of the exterior package. Up to seven exterior paint options are offered for the Stinger.
The classical GT exterior design of a long hood and the friction-reducing pillar streamlines the vehicle for superior aerodynamic performance.
IS THE STINGER A GOOD VEHICLE?
The Stinger offers efficient levels of performance for a midsize sedan of its caliber. It is a niche option for sport-oriented buyers in search of an affordable sedan with good fuel efficiency. The engines are powerful with an excellent driving experience.
